Seven Years in Tibet Review

I think you probably think I'm crazy for renting old movies, but as a film maker, artist, and humanities major, I like movies that not just have talent in them, but I like older movies cause they didn't rely on "digital" images, they relied on real images, real footage, film, and acting to tell the story. They didn't rely on magic, techno, and bang for the buck. I think a film is better done with real images, then in a studio.

As for the story, I found that the Dali Lama in the movie tells a brilliant story that develops from what people don't understand, not only were 6 million jews killed during the nazis, but 1 million Tibetan monks and families were killed by the Chinese. And this movie was in honor of those lives.

This seems similar to that of the movie I just saw, One Night with the King. If you haven't saw movies that enlightened your soul, with good words of wisdom, and let you remember them.

Brad Pitt did a good job, but the actor that played the Dali Lama did a even better job. Good Job Paramount. I wish more movies were as well crafted and written as they were in the 90's.
