I would like to thank my family first and foremost for sticking with me and helping me through the worst of times and best of times. I would like to thank my friends, and I like to thank those who have bought my book. This is a hard book to write for me, and if you ever have any comments about the story or ways I could make it better always contact me. I’m always up for critics.
Thanks

Chapter One
Straight Off The Boat
Desiree stood with her hair tied back in a braid. Alone, scared, and knowing what she had done to get where she was. Her horse was gone. She carried her gear, which was just a bag of rations, and a sword on her back. She wore leather skin tunic, and pants. She wore sandals. She sold everything that was precious to her, just to get enough money to escape the horror that lied behind her. She looked at the sky, not a hint of a cloud or a drop of rain. There was however a hot breeze. She gathered that is what happened in the desert. She won’t find comfort here as a warrior women. She did her share of farming and that had gotten old to her. It was very old, and tiring to think of her life up until this point. But she would have no thoughts of the past, that was the past and that is where it would stay.
Now where did she go? She had some coins left from her sale of her horse alone to pay for a room at a luxury inn. She however planned on rationing the money, and buying her some sort of transportation in the desert. She needed a replacement horse. She was now seventeen and felt thirty-five in experiences.
“You look lost.” She blinked. Some sailor approached her. He looked in his twenties.
“Yes, I’m trying to figure out where to stay. Do you know where the best place would be?” She had the ration bag swung over her shoulder. She needed a pouch around the waist. That was another investment she should be looking for.
